One of my new favorite drinks is Brandy Slush. My friend
brought it over for my 21st birthday and I was immediately hooked.
It’s light, refreshing, and crazy delicious. This drink is perfect for all
occasions. From brunch with your friends, to a Fourth of July cookout, to
Christmas Eve with your family. Brandy Slush is also incredibly easy to make!
Who needs Sonic when you can make your own slush?! Here
is what you will need to serve this tasty drink.
Ingredients- Serves around 8 to 10 people. Prepare one to
two days before you want to serve the drink
- 2 cups of sugar
- 2 tea bags of Lipton Premium Black Tea (any black tea will work)
- One 12 oz Minute Maid Pulp Free Orange Juice Frozen Concentrate (make sure it’s without pulp)
- 2 cups of Brandy (any brand of brandy will work)
- 2 liter of Squirt (7 up works as well)
- Fancy schmancy garnish is optional (I used strawberries and lemons)
Step 1: Pour 7
cups of water into a large cooking pot
Step 2:
Pour 2 cups of sugar into the same pot
Step 3: Put the
pot on top of the stove and let the water and sugar boil together
Step 4: After
it’s done boiling, set the pot off to the side and put the two tea bags into
the pot. Let the tea bags sit and cool in the pot for 10 minutes
Step 5: Take the
2 tea bags out of the pot and pour in the Orange Juice Concentrate
Step 6: Add in
the 2 cups of brandy and stir everything together
Step 7: Pour the
mix into a large container (an ice cream pail works perfectly to store this in)
and put in the freezer for at least 24-48 hours.
Step 8: After freezing for 24-48 hours, Take the
container out of the freezer and scoop the slush into a drinking glass
Step 9:
Add a little bit of Squirt (or 7 up) to the slush and you’re done! (If you want
to, you can now add the garnish to your drink)
Any leftovers you can leave in the container and store it
for later! What do you think of this drink recipe? Are there any drink recipes
you think I should try out? Let me know in the comment section!
