Fashion TV Shows You Need To Watch

1.) The Fashion Fund-   The Fashion Fund is a show about the CDFA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition.  There are ten up and coming designers competing to win a 300,00 grant and mentorship from the top industry professionals.  Past competitors in the Fashion Fund are Alexander Wang, Rag and Bone, Altuzarra, Billy Reid, Rodarte, and Marchesa.  The panel of judges includes the queen of fashion, Anna Wintour, Diane Von Furstenberg, and executives such as Ken Downing of Neiman Marcus, and Jenna Lyons of J.Crew, and more. This is a great show to discover some of the new up and coming talent in the fashion industry. The show airs Wednesday nights on the Ovation channel. You can watch a preview of the show here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5WWduM-F5w

2.) House of DVF-  Let’s just say that I’m pretty much hooked on this show. House of DVF is a reality show competition in which a group of women compete for a coveted spot to be the brand ambassador of Diane Von Furstenberg. The girls are put through the test by doing fashion related work assignments( PR, Planning parties, social media campaigns, lookbooks, ect.)There is a good balance of drama and fashion. I love how Diane is genuinely interested in helping the women be the best they can be.She give honest and sometimes very blunt advice/criticism. Not going to lie, I’m pretty jealous that I am not competing for this job opportunity. The show airs Sunday nights on E! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdcTil9qTx8

3.) Project Runway All Stars-While Project Runway is not on, Project Runway All Stars fills the design competition void in our lives.  Project Runway All Stars features some of the popular & most talented contestants and winners on past Project Runway shows competing against each other. The show also features host Alyssa Milano, I judges Isaac Mizrahi, and Georgina Chapman, and mentor Zanna Roberts Rassi. They are put through a variety of different design challenges like the dreaded unconventional materials challenge and group challenges. Project Runway All Stars airs Thursday nights on Lifetime.http://video.ew.com/v/97427178/project-runway-all-stars-season-4-trailer.htm

4.) Project Runway Threads: Project Runway Threads features young kids/teenage designers competing for a scholarship to FIDM summer program $10,000 to use at Joann fabrics stores, and a top of the line sewing studio. The kids/teenage designers two challenges are a look they prepared at home and a challenge where the are given a short amount of time. Judges include Christian Siriano, Vanessa Simmons, Ingrid Nilsen, and a guest celebrity judge. It’s seriously incredible the quality of the garments these kids/teenagers are making, With some of the contestants being as young as ten years old. Project Runway Threads airs Thursday nights on Lifetime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3nYLx0Z4L8

Witch Witch

One of my favorite articles of clothing that I own right now is my black t-shirt dress. It's super comfy and feels like you are wearing an oversized t-shirt. A t-shirt dress looks finished without putting in a lot of effort. Since Halloween is tomorrow, I chose to add an edgy style to my dress. I modeled my look after the fashion that was shown on American Horror Story: Coven. Even thought I am too much of a chicken to actually watch the show, I loved looking up pictures of how they revamped the look of a modern witch. Since I'm obsessed with the color black, I would wear this look in the middle of July, but I think this is a perfect outfit to get into the Halloween spirit. I added a chain necklace, a fedora, and grey socks to give my look an edge.
